You're not giving the prospect a reason to buy from you as opposed to your competitor. Now, this is a separate problem that is beyond the scope of this article, but it's the reason you're better off looking for that diamond in the rough. Question is, how do you do it?
It's really very simple. Go to the Clickbank marketplace and look under the sub category named new products. You'll find the latest items that probably haven't started selling yet. You can tell this by the gravity of these products. If it's very low or non existent, you've got a good basis to start from. But, you can't just pick out any product at random. This is where you have to do a little leg work.
Find a product description that appeals to you. Some items will sound better than others. Those are the ones that you want to focus on. Then, email the product creator and ask for a review copy. If they're just starting out, trust me, they'll give it to you. They're hungry for affiliates, unlike the big boys who really don't care because they already have an army.
After you get the product to review, go through it. If you find it to be of value, promote it. You'll have little or no competition and should have a very easy time of making sales, provided you really sell the product. That should be no problem if you really like it.
