If you are in the home party business and you've gone to one of your company meetings recently you'll notice that they always talk about the importance of sponsoring people to build your team. In fact the only true way to be successful in Party Plan is to build your downline and sponsor as many people as possible.
Sponsoring is a term used in the Party Plan industry and refers to inviting or recruiting people into your team and building your downline.
The reason it is so important is because if you just rely on retail sales, as soon as you stop selling from the catalogue or doing parties, your income disappears. Have a team below you can mean that you can still have an income from your team activities and are less reliant on 'getting party bookings'.
If you listen to your company they will probably encourage you to sponsor anyone you meet. "Don't pre-judge" is an oft used term and while it's true that you shouldn't pre-judge anyone (even if they are not your potential recruit), it can actually work against you to bring just anyone into your business.
There are really only two types of people who will help grow your business and climb the company ladder who you should sponsor into your business.
The best two types of people to sponsor into your business are:
1. Retail Customers &
2. Business Builders.
By focusing on these two groups, you can build a very successful downline.
Sponsoring retail customers will probably be the bulk of your team, they are the people who already love the product and have joined because they want to get it at a discount. Having hundreds of retail customers buying your product will boost your teams earnings and help propel you to the next level of your consultant ladder.
The next group to sponsor into your team are your business builders. These people join because they want to build a successful career or perhaps just earn a bit of extra money. They will be looking to build their own group by sponsoring people underneath them so they can progress and therefore pushing you higher as well.
By having both retail customers and business builders in your group of recruits, you can successfully build your A party plan business into something that will earn you a residual income for a long time to come.
